Tammy Ying is a gem. Not only is she an incredibly talented musician, it's also apparent that she is great with young children. My 6 year old daughter left her first lesson excited and anxious to practice. After only the third lesson, she was able to play a song with both hands, which makes her feel very accomplished! Tammy uses age appropriate piano books and takes the time to jump to specific song lessons to fit my daughter's skill level.
Tammy is very easy to communicate with via text for a quick response which is invaluable for parents on the go – the timing of little ones to drop off/pick up... in my case a 6 year old and a 3 year old...(future student perhaps??).
You will get everything you've hoped for in a piano teacher with Tammy!"

In one lesson my princess played the beginning of FROZEN let it go and it was good! She left study material too, i'm very impressed!If you want to learn music from someone friendly, and knowledgeable call Tammy, you will not be disappointed! "Tammy is the best! She is fun, personable and really knows her stuff. She's great with our 4-year-old girls - very patient and encouraging - and uses colorful workbooks and stickers to keep them interested. She even knows the entire repertoire of Frozen!On top of being a great teacher, Tammy is great at communicating with us. She responds to e-mails and texts almost immediately, and has been really helpful in advising what types of instruments we should get.All in all, Tammy is a wonderful teacher - highly recommend!"
